ELECTION COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN NEEDS OUR SUPPORT

Fakhruddin G Abarhim one of the most eminent jurist in the history of Pakistan is now given the task to lead the Election Commission of Pakistan. His repute, integrity and honesty cannot be challenged by anyone even his critics; Though without any doubt Fakhru Bhai is trusted with one of the most important task, that will eventually shape the future of Pakistan, Insha-Allah. Though Fakhru Bhai face a lot of criticism in regards to his age (approximately 95 years of age) and his ability to deal with such a crucial task but surely one has to realize that Allah (swt) selected him for this important work. Pakistani people are clinching to anyone who is there to provide a bit of hope for their upcoming future. Dr. Tahir Ul Qadri initiated a movement against the corrupt political system in Pakistan though he was not completely successful, but whatever fruits his movement produced will be treasured by the people of Pakistan, if at least article 62 and 63 of the Pakistan’s constitution gets implemented in the upcoming elections. Fakhru Bhai is the hope for the people of Pakistan and his recent attempt to formulate a mechanism for free and fair election by jointly working with the State Bank of Pakistan, Federal Bureau of Revenue, National Accountability Bureau and National Data Base and Registration Authority is commendable. Here, as free and patriotic citizens of Pakistan we should consider it an obligation to stand next to Fakhru Bhai in this time of need. He will face opposition from those who have raped this country again and again. The Tax evaders and loan defaulters will eventually show their true colors once Fakhru Bhai with his team will try to scrutinize their fate. For instance, the research work done by journalist Omar Cheema regarding tax evaders in the parliament should be closely examined by the Election Commission of Pakistan. According to the investigative work by Omar Cheema, approximately 300 people out of 446 in the National Assembly and Senate never filed their tax return for year 2011-2012 which is considered a crime. Though even with the investigative work done by Omar Cheema, we should give benefit of doubt to everyone in current National Assembly and Senate to produce their tax returns on the request of Election Commission of Pakistan since, their might be some technical glitch that resulted in their failure to file tax returns. But in no way we the people of Pakistan should tolerate any statement from anyone to pressurize the Election Commission of Pakistan. The recent statement made by Choudary Nisar against the Election Commission of Pakistan that the Election Commission of Pakistan has disrespected the members of the Parliament is absurd and insulting to the people of Pakistan. The statement that each and every member of the Parliament pay taxes on the salary he or she receives from the parliament is misleading. Choudary Nisar should be supporting the efforts of the Election Commission of Pakistan by supporting the idea of exposing those in the parliament who don’t consider it necessary to file tax return. Tax on the businesses and other means outside the parliament that enable these politicians to make millions and billions should also be accounted since, these are the leaders who will eventually lead us on “Siraat e Mustaqeem”. According to my limited knowledge, Election Commission should ask all the politicians to file lawsuits against any media outlet, national or foreign, that ever tried to implicate any of our leaders (Either who has led us before or plans to do so in the forthcoming elections) in any wrong doing. For instance the documentary made by BBC about the corrupt practices instilled by Sharif family to rob Pakistan; Also the tactics used by Sharif family to launder money outside Pakistan etc. Similar to that how can Zardari be Sadiq or Ameen when on one hand he rejected the ownership of Sare’ Palace and on the next moment he accepted the ownership of Sare’ Palace and took approximately $60 million from Swiss account. Anyone who objects to the authority of Election Commission to ask for 3-year tax return from every candidate with tax return filed by their family members, information about their kids overseas and information regarding any other nationality should be dealt with strong opposition by the people of Pakistan. At conclusion, I can simply emphasize on the need that each and every honest and hardworking patriotic Pakistani should stand and support the election commission. Though Fakhru Bhai might not be strong enough to deal with the corrupt political filth but surely with our support he will feel Pakistan standing on his back. May Allah grant Fakhru Bhai the strength to secure the interests of ordinary citizens of Pakistan. Ameen

Hurdle to educate the poor and less fortunate in Pakistan

Hazara Genocide 2001-2013 Documentary

SHOWING SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLE OF HAZARA

As Muslims we stand firm with the people of Hazara in this time of need. The death of innocent Hazara people should not be disregarded and military should take immediate steps to bring culprit before the court of Justice. We the people of Pakistan do not trust the current government of Zardari who is bent backwards in raping the resources of Pakistan. General Kiyani should develop the courage to take stand or else people will take law in there own hand to seek justice. Shia, Sunni or any other sect will be judged by the Almighty Allah (swt) on the day of judgement; Muslims should not give certificates of Kufr or Emaan to each other based on their own perception. We should focus on things which unite us rather than indulging in issues which divide us. The differences between different sects will remain there till the day of Judgement though we can intellectually provide platform to sane voices to unite this Ummah on Quran and Sunnah. We should also keep an eye on foreign enemies who will utilize our differences to achieve their ill gains. Indian involvement with other groups should be seen through microscope since, hatred among different sect specially in Balouchistan will help India (Specifically) destabilize Pakistan. Pakistani military should stand up and do what it takes to bring stability in our country. If democracy means raping Pakistan and protecting the interest of like minded corrupt stooges than we will resist against that kind of Democracy. We want democracy that is compatible with Quran and Sunnah; The concept of Welfare society was introduce by Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) but unfortunately we will not be able to achieve those higher standards with politicians who came in politics with NRO or by creating division through provincialism. Let's stand up against injustice and bring change considering it an obligation bestowed upon us by our Deen.

STANDING FOR OUR RIGHTS

Middle Class Coalition Front-MCCF This is an attempt to mobilize the most victimized class in the world, "THE MIDDLE CLASS"; A class that is never truly represented by the 2% elite that occupy the leadership positions to extend their own personal endeavors. To counter the exploitation it is essential to mobilize and create pressure groups so that our voices can be heard by those who claim to be "leaders" in our specific countries. "WE" as middle class want better future for our kids without getting into complexities of race, gender or any other factor that might be used by the powerful to divide and rule. Initially my aim is to serve the people of Pakistan where middle class is into the habit of keeping their problems to themselves. For instance we cry about exploitation and corruption but we will never take a stand since, the corrupt system is too powerful; Though we realize that our silence is giving the strength to those who are exploiting the system to their own benefit. If someone is not qualified and he occupy a position only because he know someone who is influential or politically connected than the burden should be on our shoulders to challenge his qualification and demand his expulsion. Similar to that basic necessities of life should be delivered to us by the government but unfortunately we develop a new habit which is usually taught in the military. A military man improvise to make his life easy. For example if you don't have something you need, you utilize another in its place. Though the principle is good but in Pakistan we are developing a new trend for our corrupt political leaders. These leaders know that public will eventually get use to hardships. If there is shortage of electricity, people will buy generators or UPS. If there is no CNG, people will use Petrol etc. This trend needs to be curtailed otherwise government will be left with an easy way out to every problem people of Pakistan face in there daily life. Lets take our first step by exposing negativity around us. If we see a milk man adding water to milk we should not take it as a way of life, rather we should ask him to stop his ill practice. May be he will give us this excuse that he can't afford to sell pure milk at this price; We in response should ask him to sell us the same milk but at least tell us that he added water in that milk. I mean self accountability is the toughest thing though once this habit is developed that improvement automatically comes in our life. If we are standing at a bus stop and see people jumping line than we should form a line just to create an image of discipline and order. We should advice our brothers and sisters to form a line to make life easier for everyone. I mean it is tough but at least we should develop the habit of doing things the right way. This organization will start as a social moment but with time we will develop it in a political organization. We need numbers since, unity is strength. We will form our vote bank this in return will give us the leverage to force the politician to engage in projects that will eventually benefit our upcoming generations. Hope should be kept alive and lets march towards the country that we hope to develop for our generations to come.

TOGETHER WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL BY SHEHER BANO ZAFAR

Together we stand, divided we fall - By Sheher Bano Zafar Feb18,2013 Jiye Bhutto! Altaf bhai zindaabaad! Imran khan tsunami! These are the slogans being chanted by people everywhere these days. People around Pakistan support various political parties and no doubt these political parties are in full bloom throughout the years. Whether it’s the PPP “jiyalas” MQM’s or PTI supporters. Now and then we see peace marches (reference to Imran khan) and the overseas meetings (in reference to MQM). Being young blood I began wondering as which political party can bring a change. As I knew like the rest of my fellows that it is with us that the future of this country depends. To my dismay I looked at every single file of the political parties of every wing and found nothing of the worth. Every party had its pros and its cons. Then I began wondering about the “JALSAS” they hold every now and then causing many problems to the common man like up tight security, traffic jams, and roads blockage. I once had an experience of being caught in the traffic jam due to one of these jalsas. People old, young, boys and girls were all passing by supporting their party full of zeal and zest and let me clear it to you that yes! It was a PTI gathering. I saw many faces and the only single thing common among all was that they were holding a flag. A flag which did not represent Pakistan, not national integrity it represented PTI only. I began to wonder that what is the deal with the whole political party flag thing. Why is it necessary that one should have a flag in order to represent it? Isn’t our national flag enough to represent our national integrity? These parties claim to work for the betterment of Pakistan? To bring a CHANGE I suppose? Then why do they use flags and banners and stickers to show that they are different? Why not put up only the Pakistani flag up on your podium? Isn’t the green and white crescent and star enough to represent your party? You are working for Pakistan or as you claim too then why not stand by your own national flag rather than making up a flag of your own? I researched all parties MQM, PPP, PML, PTI, etc and came upon the fact that they all had various banners, slogans, flags that showed their difference. None of them the fact had a reference to Pakistan. Isn’t the whole point of it is to work for the people? To work for Pakistan? Wouldn’t it be better that without any discrimination we just put up our OWN national flag? Take them to the proceedings with us? When the political parties preside a meeting instead of their own representative flag how about we just put up our national flag? As it is said that ‘is parcham k saye talay hum aik hain’ why not show it then? Why not just forget all that stuff that brings distinction among us and unite under the same green and white flag?
